What Makes Us Different
At Evergrow, our services go beyond traditional reading tutoring. With a background as both a speech-language pathologist and a certified teacher, I’m uniquely equipped to support your child at the most foundational level of reading and language. Speech-language pathologists are experts in language—and that includes written language. Reading is a code that must be broken, and for struggling readers, specialized support is essential in connecting spoken and written language. Whether your child is experiencing difficulties with decoding, comprehension, or both, our approach targets the specific point of breakdown to help them move forward with confidence. In addition, early intervention is offered to preschool children who are struggling to learn their letters and sounds.
Meet Jennifer Sifers, M.S., CCC-SLP | Founder, SLP & Certified Teacher
Hi, I’m Jennifer. I started Evergrow because I believe that reading changes lives—and that every child deserves the chance to experience success and joy in learning.
My journey began as a first grade teacher after earning my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University. While I loved teaching, I quickly discovered my passion and strength in working with children one-on-one. That realization led me to pursue my M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Baylor University, where I deepened my understanding of language development and evidence-informed intervention methods. I also had the opportunity at Baylor to do a deep dive into written language and how to support children in this area.
Today, through Evergrow, I combine my background in education and speech-language pathology to offer a whole-child, individualized approach to structured literacy support based on the science of reading. My goal is always to meet each child exactly where they are—and guide them forward with confidence.
Our Beliefs About Reading, Literacy, and Student Success
Every child has the potential to grow and succeed with the right support.
- Literacy is foundational—it unlocks learning, communication, and self-esteem.
- Support should be personalized, engaging, and built on strong relationships.
- Parents are essential partners in the process.
If you're looking for someone who sees your child’s strengths, understands their challenges, and knows how to bridge the gap with both heart and science, we’d be honored to work with your family.
